Starting out
Maple City Candy started out making Vermont maple candy using the same traditional candy shapes we've all seen in Vermont gift shops and stores throughout the Green Mountain State; the maple leaf, the moose, the pilgrims, and of course Santas.

A new approach
Thanks to the Robb Family Farm, and the creative talents of owner Helen Robb, we learned that customers are looking for maple sugar candy shapes other than the traditional maple leaf shape, and that presentation is important. So we worked with the Robb Farm to perfect themed maple candy gift boxes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, birthday's, Easter, and Mother's Day. Our new specialty
Following the vision of PIECES OF VERMONT® website owner Rick Smith we started developing and perfecting the process of making what we call Chocolate-Maple Fusion,^TM a process of surrounding Vermont maple candy with delicious chocolate.

A Christmas gift
In 2009, again acting on the vision of PIECES OF VERMONT® website owner Rick Smith, we created Chocolate-Maple Bark. Our alternative to Peppermint Bark is layers of white and dark chocolate topped with Vermont maple candy bits and pure maple granulated sugar, packaged in a decorative holiday gift tin.
