Admittedly there's a lot of ways to make Mac & Cheese. I like mine dry and made with
Cabot's Chipotle Cheese, while my girlfriend
likes her Mac & Cheese more creamy. However you like it, without argument the cheese that you use is a very important part of the recipe. Cheese is comfort food! So,
when you give Vermont cheese as a gift, you're giving someone something delicious!
Why order from us? Now, we know that several of the cheeses that we sell can be purchased directly from the manufacturers website(s), but when you place an order with us you're
supporting a small dairy farm (the Robb Family Farm) and/or a small gift shop business (Maple City Candy).
There are distribution channels in place that "support local dairy farming," such as the Robb Farm, but we can honestly say that the best way to
support small, local American businesses is to purchase products directly from them, and not through a larger channel.

One of Vermont's Best-kept Secrets is the Grafton Village Cheese Company. The original cheese factory is nestled in the mountains of
southern Vermont on the banks of the Saxtons River, a tributary to the Connecticut River and a very popular trout fishing stream.
This small cheese company has been a Vermont tradition since 1892. "Grafton cheese" is outstanding - naturally aged Vermont
cheddars made from cultured whole milk with enzymes, and no preservatives added. Grafton certainly isn't as widely known as
Cabot, but that's what makes "Grafton cheese" one of Vermont's best-kept secrets.

Who is Sugarbush Farm? Sugarbush Farm is a 550 acre hillside farm located in central Vermont.
The farm was purchased by Jack and Marion Ayres in 1945 with a dream to make a go of country living.
The Ayres were the first cheese-makers in Vermont to package cheese in waxed bars so that they would travel well without refrigeration.
The farm is now owned and operated by the second, third and fourth generations of the Luces family.
By 1975 the Boston Globe wrote about Sugarbush Farm, "At the end of a scenic Vermont road lies a Cheese Lovers paradise."
In 1995 the American Cheese Society awarded Sugarbush Farm a Blue Ribbon for the
best smoked cheese
in the country. Since 2000 Sugarbush Farm cheese, shipped from the Robb Family Farm (also a small Vermont dairy farm) has been a customer favorite. We're
sure you'll find their cheese exceptional as well.
