    After your maple cream arrives, simply give it a good stir to mix the maple syrup back into the spread, then enjoy! A few seconds in the microwave will also help soften the spread. That's because it takes 40 gallons of maple sap to make just 1 gallon of pure Vermont maple syrup, then the syrup is further heated, or "boiled down", until it becomes a creamy spread.
