Your Email Address & Personal Information
We at RES eCom, Inc., developer of PiecesOfVermont.com, believe that you have the right to know how your
personal information may be used or disclosed. You take your privacy seriously, and we respect your
concerns. We do not rent, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal information to any other
businesses not directly associated with drop-shipping orders for PiecesOfVermont.com.
Newsletter Distribution
PiecesOfVermont.com uses Constant Contact
to send or "publish" our periodic eNewsletter to OPT-IN recipients. Constant Contact has a strict
Anti-Spam Policy which we are required to adhere to. Each
email sent out contains our "snail mail" or US Postal address, as well as REMOVE links. The Constant
Contact system is CAN-SPAM compliant.
Removal From Lists
If you wish to REMOVE your email address from our Lists, you may do so at any time. Simply use the
REMOVE box below, or contact us via phone at 800-507-7721.
Your Credit Card Information is Secure with Us
Currently we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
We utilize a "secure server" (computer) for all our credit card
transactions, and all your personal information will be encrypted prior
to being transmitted over the Internet. The computers on which PiecesOfVermont.com
are hosted, are protected with a valid THAWTE
SECURITY CERTIFICATE, to insure that your credit card is being processed using a secure server.
It is important to know that only upon checkout, when vital information is
being submitted, do most web-sites enter into a "secure" URL area. You will
notice this because the http://... will change to https://...
The "s" means that the webpage is secure. It is not necessary to
secure all pages in a website, and that is why the "checkout" is the area that
is secured.
Also, we do NOT store your credit card information on our computers, but rather rely
on a credit card authorization company and the credit card companies themselves to
permit re-billing and refunding against the original transaction. In addition, we do NOT
perform any wireless credit card processing.
It is highly unlikely, but if the unthinkable should occur, we'll refund
any unauthorized use of your credit card up to $50. Most issuing banks will
refund unauthorized purchases over $50 (notify them immediately!), so between
the three of us, and the Fair Credit Billing Act, you won't lose a penny.
Orders Placed Online
When you order products online from PiecesOfVermont.com
we will collect your product order along with your billing and shipping information. We use this
information to fulfill your order and bill you for your purchase, and also to analyze our product sales so
that we can better meet your needs.
Your SHIP TO and BILL TO information is also sent via email to our suppliers in
Vermont who in turn drop-ship your order from various Vermont locations directly to you. Information sent
to our suppliers does not include your credit card information. Your credit card information
remains encrypted and safe on secure servers.
Our suppliers are not authorized to exchange your Information with any third-parties outside of the PiecesOfVermont.com
"supplier drop-shipping" relationship. However, our suppliers may use your phone and email Information to correspond with you
concerning your order, but we encourage our suppliers to keep such correspondences to a minimum.
Lastly, any order processing information, such as SHIP TO and BILL TO information,
is stored offline.
Contact Us & Order Status Pages
Our Contact Us and Order Status pages collect information
that will help us determine how to answer your inquiry or track your order, but your information is not
permanently saved or used for any additional purposes. The information you provide is simply used to contact
you for the purposes of answering your inquiry or providing the status of your order. The information
you provide is not rented, sold, or shared with any businesses not directly associated with drop-shipping
orders for PiecesOfVermont.com.
