shares Vermont maple sugar candy with fellow contestants
The Mrs. United States Pageant took place July 18-24, 2009 in Las Vegas. Laurye Natale, recent First Runner-up
and Spirit of Pageantry Award recipient in the Mrs. Connecticut United States 2009, represented the state of Vermont as an
at-large contestant at the national pageant in Las Vegas the week of July 19th. Representing Vermont held a special place in Laurye's
heart because her mother was born and raised in Vermont. Laurye's family still lives in and around the Jonesville/Burlington area.

Laurye's Maple Candy Request
When Mrs. Vermont contacted us about maple sugar candies
to give to her fellow contestants at the event dinner, we were thrilled! What a great idea. So of course
we offered to prepare a batch of large, individually boxed maple candies. After all, she's representing Vermont. We corresponded with Laurye
several times via email, read her contest profile,
and got to work on the maple candies, which will require timely delivery just prior to the event. No problem though, we've become
very good at shipping wedding favors, which aren't much different. Laurye had this to say,...

found and selected your company off of an Internet search, amongst all the others, tells me that you are a strong, reputable company and
I wish you continued success!"
Laurye's contest platform - "Foster a Child, Fulfill a Dream" is about bringing awareness to the desperate need for loving foster
families throughout the country. Laurye and husband Al, who are licensed therapeutic foster care parents, and who have been fostering children in our home for more
than five years, were able to "fulfill their dream" this year when they adopted Leanna. Now nearly 9, Leanna came to Laurye and Al as a foster child

About the Contest
Described as "the premier event of its kind" by The Las Vegas Sun newspaper, the Mrs. United States National Pageant® is a
spectacular event. Since 1986, the Mrs. United States National Pageant® has assembled annually in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate
the achievements of married women throughout the 50 States and U.S. Territories.
